Anita Nathan

Anita’s practice includes both trial and appellate work, and she appears at all levels of court including the Ontario Court of Justice, the Superior Court of Justice and the Court of Appeal. She has experience defending the most minor, to the most serious offences, including robbery, murder, and drug and gun possession. She is dedicated to client-focused service and will be your tireless advocate.

 Anita graduated from the University of Toronto with an Honours Bachelor of Science, following which she completed her legal education in the nation’s capital at the University of Ottawa. While completing her law degree, Anita dedicated her free time to Pro Bono Students Canada, the Criminal Law Student Association and the Women’s Legal Mentorship Program.

 Anita is dedicated to providing quality, compassionate and accessible legal services. Facing a criminal charge can be a very stressful experience; Anita will make navigating the process much easier and will advocate for you strenuously at every stage.

 Anita is committed to giving back to the community and has volunteered with a number of community organizations including Human Rights Watch, Aids New Brunswick, and the Barbra Schlifer Clinic. She is also a member of Nellie’s Social Justice and Accessibility Committee, and the Board of Directors of Maggie’s Sex Worker Action Project.
