Tiffany Phan

Articling Student

Tiffany is a recent graduate of Osgoode Hall Law School and an articling student at Derstine Partners. During her JD degree, Tiffany partook in the Criminal Law Intensive Program, where she first started here at Derstine Partners.

Prior to her JD degree, Tiffany received a BA degree from York University with a Specialized Honours designation in Human Rights and Equity Studies, and a BSc degree from the University of Alberta with a Specialization in Immunology. It was during her BSc degree that Tiffany first developed an interest in social justice and human rights. Through what seemed to be an insignificant decision to take a sociology course as an elective, Tiffany’s career trajectory would undergo a complete 180. 

Following her BSc degree, Tiffany found herself increasingly engaged with social justice causes, whether it was through a research assistantship studying the racially discriminatory history of anti-narcotics legislation in Canada or through volunteer work with Amnesty International at York University, Pro Bono Students Canada, and Cannabis Amnesty. 

Now an articling student, Tiffany aims to do her best to assist and support individuals who find themselves at odds with the criminal justice system.
