In her first year of law school, she summered with a criminal defence lawyer in Alberta and, in her second year, summered at Derstine Penman.
Carimé received her JD from the University of Western Ontario. Alongside her studies and writing work, she handled criminal files at Western’s community legal clinic. She was also the vice president of Western Law’s Criminal Law Association during her third year of law school.
Prior to the pandemic, Carimé was working towards her amateur boxing debut–unfortunately, her first event was cancelled due to the pandemic. However, she still plans to step into the ring at some point during her legal career.
