Psychiatric assessment continues for man accused of murder. Etienne Beaulieu, 21, accused in the first-degree killing of his mother will spend another 30 days undergoing a psychiatric assessment at a centre in Whitby.
(PETERBOROUGH) The psychiatric assessment of a man accused of killing his mother has been extended for another 30 days.
Etienne Beaulieu, 21, appeared briefly in person at the Ontario Court of Justice Friday afternoon (Oct. 1). Mr. Beaulieu is charged with first-degree murder in the stabbing of his 49-year-old mother Isabelle Robitaille. Ms Robitaille, a French Immersion teacher with the public school board, was stabbed to death the evening of Aug. 4 at her home at 1761 Bissonnette Dr. in Peterborough’s north end.
