R. v. Nur is a decision of the Supreme Court of Canada which struck down the mandatory minimum sentence of three years for possession of a prohibited firearm. Dirk Derstine was counsel for Mr. Nur at trial, at the Ontario Court of Appeal, and at the Supreme Court of Canada.
